Can you still donate hair in Canada?
There are a limited number of places that will accept donated hair, so be sure to contact one prior to having yours cut. A few options are Chai Lifeline Canada, Angel Hair for Kids, and CanDonate Hair Foundation (Quebec).

Can I donate hair with split ends?
Split ends are fine. Hair cannot be gray, permed, color treated, highlighted or otherwise chemically processed; “temporary coloring or highlights that wash out are acceptable, but must be completely washed out before cutting.
Can I straighten my hair before donating it?
Hair Requirements: Donated hair must be a minimum of 8 inches long (measure hair from just above the elastic band of the ponytail to the ends). Wavy/curly hair texture is fine—you may straighten hair to measure. Hair should be freshly washed and completely dry, without any styling products.
